Introducing the New “Fit Model” Division Balancing Strength, Cardio, Nutrition, and Supplements to Achieve the Fitness Magazine Look
No Nonsense Magazine Volume 26 #2
By: Julie Lohre
If you're passionate about fitness and aspire to achieve a balanced, toned, and confident appearance without the extreme muscularity typical of Figure competitions or the high level of conditioning seen in advanced Bikini shows, then the NPC's new Fit Model Division could be the right choice for you. This division focuses on a natural and attainable physique, emphasizing symmetry, poise, and presentation without requiring extreme leanness or excessive muscle mass.
The Fit Model Division differs significantly from the Figure and Bikini divisions. Unlike the Figure division, which requires a more muscular and defined physique, and the Bikini division, which often emphasizes leanness and visible muscle separations, the Fit Model Division promotes a softer and more natural aesthetic. This division is meant for women who want to celebrate their fitness journey in a realistic and approachable manner, showcasing a fit and feminine physique that reflects a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
Is the Fit Model Division Right for You?
Consider the following checklist to determine if the Fit Model Division aligns with your goals:
Physique Goals:
- Do you aspire to achieve a natural, fitness model look with a balanced and toned physique?
- Are you aiming for a small amount of muscle to create shape and symmetry without excessive development or striations?
Conditioning Preferences:
- Are you interested in attaining a softer, less lean appearance than other divisions while still reflecting a healthy and fit overall look?
Presentation Style:
- Do you enjoy showcasing confidence and elegance through simple and graceful posing that emphasizes your balanced physique in more modest suits?
Competition Experience:
- Are you new to bodybuilding competitions and looking for an entry-level division where you can begin without needing to build the extensive muscle mass required for other categories?
If you find yourself answering "yes" to these questions, the Fit Model Division may be an excellent fit for you. This division is designed to celebrate a balanced, natural, and attainable fitness model look. It is an ideal option for women new to the sport and experienced competitors seeking a more mainstream fit look.
Although the Fit Model competitor may not have the muscle size or sharpness compared to women in the other divisions, they’ll still have more muscle and a leaner physique than the average woman. Over the past 20 years, I have been an online fitness coach, helping women achieve the fit bodies of their dreams. If you want to look like you just stepped off the pages of a fitness magazine, it’s essential to find the right balance of strength training, cardio, nutrition, and supplementation.
To attain the desired physique for the Fit Model Division, a well-rounded training and nutrition plan is essential. Here's a sample approach:

Fit Model Supplement Recommendations
In my experience, including the highest quality supplements in your routine can make a huge difference if you want to achieve the Fit Model look. For nearly two decades, I've personally trusted Beverly International products to support my fitness journey, and they are the ONLY supplements I recommend to my clients. Here are some of my top recommendations for the fit model look:
UMP (Ultimate Muscle Protein): This versatile protein supplement is a staple in my daily routine. I love using UMP in various recipes, such as protein waffles and pancakes, which makes it easy to maintain a high-protein diet. Incorporating UMP into your diet can help you lose body fat while adding or maintaining lean muscle mass, which is essential for achieving the Fit Model look.
Collagen Peptides: Maintaining skin elasticity and joint health is crucial for the Fit Model aesthetic. Beverly's Collagen Peptides provide 20 grams of Types I and III collagen per serving, sourced from grass-fed bovine. This unflavored, easily dissolvable powder supports youthful skin, strong hair and nails, and joint function. I've been using Beverly Collagen Peptides every day for the last year as part of my morning, and it's become a seamless part of my routine.
Lean Out: Supporting fat metabolism, Lean Out assists your body in utilizing fat as fuel. I've found it particularly beneficial when aiming to achieve a leaner physique without compromising energy levels.
7-Keto MuscLean: This supplement is formulated to support fat loss and preserve lean muscle mass. I love how 7 Keto MuscLean enhances my metabolism and promotes thermogenesis. The women I coach, who include 7 Keto MuscLean, lose body fat more quickly and notice decreased food cravings. I really like that it provides a clean, lasting energy boost without the jitters or crashes you sometimes get with other stimulants.
ZMA 2000: Talk about transforming my nightly routine! ZMA 2000 is a natural, clinically based formula combination of zinc, magnesium, and vitamin B6 that promotes deep, restorative sleep. Quality sleep makes such a difference in recovery and overall well-being. I’ve found that ZMA 2000 helps me wake up feeling rejuvenated and ready to tackle the day. Additionally, for women over 35, maintaining optimal levels of these minerals becomes increasingly important for hormone balance and cognitive function. I take two capsules before bedtime on an empty stomach and notice a profound improvement in the quality of my sleep and recovery from workouts.
Julie’s Pro Tip: In my experience, combining Beverly International's 7-Keto MuscLean with Lean Out has been instrumental in achieving the Fit Model look. 7-Keto MuscLean provides a clean, lasting energy boost that motivates me to stay active throughout the day without the jitters or crashes associated with other stimulants. This sustained energy not only enhances my workouts but also helps suppress my appetite, making it easier to adhere to my nutrition plan. When paired with Lean Out, which supports fat metabolism by transporting fat to be burned as fuel, the synergy between these supplements optimizes fat loss while preserving lean muscle mass. This combination has allowed me to maintain a toned and sculpted physique, essential for the Fit Model aesthetic.
